Honeyco Production Facility Moves South

About Us

Our policy is to improve the health and happiness of our customers.

Natural health is important for everyone and Honeyco believes it is not just important to produce the finest honey possible, but the honey must be as pure and natural as possible.

Because bees and honey will absorb residues, it is important to consider factors like, where has the honey been collected from. Has it come from farmland, near main roads, near polluted streams, or near towns and cities? What chemicals does the beekeeper use to control pests like varroa bee mite and wax moth, and has he taken precautions to ensure there can be no contamination during collection and storage of honey? What chemicals and processes does the honey production facility use?

Honeyco therefore only sources honey from a select few experienced beekeepers that use very safe procedures throughout the honey collection process. Their hives must be located in pristine natural regions, far from people and pollution. Each pack of honey produced comes from just one source, one beekeeper, one region, so you know exactly where your honey has come from.

To ensure the production process is performed in a pure environment, the production facility recently moved to the North Canterbury region of the South Island, where the Honeyco factory will continue to be registered as an organic honey packer, and will apply these strict organic processes for all honey production.

So whether you choose your favourite honey from Rangitoto Island’s Pohutukawa honey to Catlins region’s Rata honey, you will know that we have considered all factors from its purity to its unique flavour, from bee to honey jar.

Find out where your honey has come from… just enter the Batch ID on your Honeyco honey jar into our Trace Back facility on this website, you can see which beekeeper collected your honey, and which region your honey came from.
